Restaurar contraseña root en MySQL sin tener acceso

Si instalamos MySQL y olvidamos la contraseña del usuario root, podemos recuperarla de la siguiente manera:

Primero iniciamos MySQL con sudo desde la consola de linux

sudo mysql
sudo mysql
sudo mysql

Una vez dentro, para restaurar la contraseña de root ponemos el siguiente comando

ALTER USER 'root'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED WITH mysql_native_password BY 'nueva_contraseña';
ALTER USER 'root'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED WITH mysql_native_password BY 'nueva_contraseña';
ALTER USER 'root'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED WITH mysql_native_password BY 'nueva_contraseña';

En el campo nueva_contraseña indicamos la contraseña que queremos añadir.

Para comprobar que se ha cambiado la contraseña podemos utilizar el siguiente comando.

Y nos devuelve una tabla con las contraseñas cifradas de los usuarios de MySQL

Si todo esta bien, actualizamos los privilegios
