Activating DKIM for Enhanced Email Security and Spoof Prevention with OVH Cloud and Cloudflare

DKIM es a security protocol that signs the emails on each delivery, this will allow us to authenticate the mail server that sends it.

Enter into the OVH Manager

Go to: Web Cloud → Emails → Domains → your-domain

Choose the DKIM diagnosis:

DKIM OVH Cloud

Before you activate it, they will tell you: To set up your DKIM, you need to add these two records to your DNS

We are copying these records and going to CloudFlare.

Now select your domain.

Click on DNS > Records

You add the following:

Type: CNAME

Name: we put … until ._domainkey the rest (domain) is placed only by Cloudflare.

TTL: auto

TARGET: we will copy the rest here as it is complete: ovhmo.......-selector2._domainkey........pp.dkim.mail.ovh.net

p Do not activate the Proxy (grey cloud)

We click on save.

We do the same with the second code that gives us OVH.

We click on activate now.

⚠️ Note: if you get this error The DKIM configuration has failed. ovhmo4708841-selector2 need to be set

You should wait 10-15 minutes for the DNS to settle.
