Today we are going to learn how we can connect a domain that already owns, for example OVH to our Shopify store.
The first thing we will do is enter our Shopify account and go to the control panel.
Now we will go into Domains
And we click on Connect existing:
Now we write the domain where it indicates.
If we have it in Cloudflare or OVH or anywhere else, we need to go to the control panel and create a new CNAME record with the following characteristics:
Type: CNAME Name: www Update to: shops.myshopify.com
And if we have a DNS record A, we must delete it (sometimes says that you should modify it to point to your Shopify website.
A @ (Shopify IP)
The Shopify IP, it will be indicated by the own Shopify
And it is recommended that the root domain not be proxied if you use CLOUDFLARE.
You now have to wait for the page to refresh (they may take anywhere from 5 minutes or 1 hour).
