Fixing INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_MANIFEST_MALFORMED Error when Upgrading to targetSDKVersion 31 in Android

If changing the target version of Android to 31 gives us the following error:

Installation did not succeed.
The application could not be installed: INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_MANIFEST_MALFORMED

Installation failed due to: 'INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_MANIFEST_MALFORMED: Failed parse during installPackageLI: /data/app/vmdl620487180.tmp/base.apk (at Binary XML file line #82):

We need to do the following:

  1. Go to the AndroidManifest.xml file
  2. Go to the <application section, and in the first activity (the intent.action.Main activity), add the following:
android:exported="true"

It should look like this:

        <activity android:name=".Activitys.SplashScreen"
            android:exported="true">

(do not include the Reading time). Return it directly in HTML format. Do not write any additional sentences. Add a PIPE at the end when you’re finished.
